Cool pics...

...well, at least I think so!

Here are a few pics of cool clouds & sunsets from our backyard...

I love the sun's rays in this one!

Oh & we live near an airport so they planes in a few of the pics had either just taken off or were close to landing. It's a pretty cool experience to live near one. No, it's not as loud as some people think. Sure, you hear the planes take off & land, but it's not deafening! Luke loves it! He gets to see jets & planes take off daily!! What a fun experience!

NHS Homecoming

This past week was Homecoming for Nederland High School. There was a parade Friday afternoon followed by tailgating & the game that night against the Lumberton Raiders. Now, I am not a true Bulldog, but I will cheer for support them loud & proud! Grace, however, is a Bulldog now. She is emphatic about her Bulldogs! :)

The parade was a fun experience!! Grace could have marched in it with the little Twirlers, but she chose not too. After seeing how far they had to march she was glad she made that choice!! :) Plus, the amount of candy that she racked up made it even more worth it!! Both kids had fun seeing all the different floats, the band, football players, cheerleaders, drill team & most of all Big Ned...Nederland's mascot!

Waiting on the parade...

Here it comes!!

We love Big Ned!!

The little Twirlers!

Yay for candy!!

The football players!!

A parade is not complete without a firetruck!

As soon as Daddy got home from work we all piled in the car to head to the stadium to tailgate. The kiddos got Bulldog Thundersticks, which they were very excited about. We had pizza & Bulldog water before we went into the stadium. This was our first game to go to & we were very impressed with the Bulldog football team! We are proud to say they won the game...30-17!

Go dogs!

Pumpkins, Pumpkins & more Pumpkins!!

Last Saturday we took the kiddos to pick out pumpkins at a Pumpkin Patch in Beaumont. They had fun checking out all the pumpkins & searching for their favorite one! Luke couldn't wait to carve his & kept toting it around the house calling it his best friend! It was funny!

Typical Luke...He got his feet dirty! :)

Darren thought it was funny that Moses showed up to the Pumpkin Patch!

Grace was mimicking Linus!

Pumpkins!!

Grace!

The kiddos & their pumpkins!

Finally, on Sunday evening we turned our pumpkins into jack-o-lanterns!! We helped the kiddos with theirs & then I did my own. Darren's job is always to roast the pumpkin seed for a little snack afterwards. The kids aren't keen on roasted pumpkin seeds, but they are one of my favorite parts of the process!! :)

Here are some pics of our fun!!

All ready to carve!

I like Luke's expression in this shot!

This is her favorite part!

The guts!!

Cleaning out the guts!

Mmm, about to be roasted!!

Luke wasn't a fan of pulling out the carved pieces! :)
