We are on our 12th verse for SSMT! Whew, where has the time gone?!?!
My verse for the 1/2 way point is...
Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don't try to figure everything out on your own. ~Proverbs 3:5 (MSG)
I have read this verse time & time again, but never from the Message. Someone tweeted this a few days ago & I made it a "favorite" so I could remember it. Something about it struck me...
In the past few weeks I have had a nervous spirit about me. Not necessarily noticeable to anyone around me...just something I was struggling with on the inside. With the weather being so unpredictable (tornadoes completely destroying entire areas of certain towns) I began fretting hurricane season. My stomach would literally began hurting if I allowed myself to sit & think about the what ifs. I follow several people on twitter who are battling this disease or that disease & I began to think what if that happens to us. What would we do? I began to fear certain things of this world.
When I read this verse from a simple tweet that day I just breathed a sigh of relief (until I picked my worries back up, that is). I need to trust God. Not just say "oh I trust you, God" but actually TRUST HIM...FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART. Really?! Is that possible? Sure it is. It's something that I think has to happen daily...or in my case each & every minute. When the fear begins to creep back in I have to quote this verse. I HAVE to trust in Him...otherwise I will go crazy!
I love the second part of the verse... "don't try to figure everything out on your own." Whew, I don't know about you, but that lifts a huge weight off my shoulders! I can't understand the whys of this world...I just have to TRUST HIM! This doesn't mean I just sit back & do whatever. I have to be prepared, but I don't have to be paranoid!
I definitely need this verse in my heart...well, this version of this verse! :)

May the 4th be with you...
In a galaxy far, far away on June 12, 2007 a baby boy was born. The council named him Jedi Luke also known as the chosen one. Now Luke is ready to celebrate his 4th birthday & begin his Jedi Training.

Water gun fun...
Last night we started off playing bubbles in the front yard. It wasn't too terribly hot outside, so it was fun. The kids had gotten new water guns so I decided to get a bucket of water & let them go crazy. What started out as a brother/sister water gun fight turned into a family water gun fight which then involved the water hose! Each one of us were soaked & had a fun, fun time! I'll treasure the sound of those giggles & belly laughs all summer long!!
