Okay, I can't just move on with my blogging life without catching you up on what went on in our world since the last time I blogged. So, you'll have to bear with me as I catch you up on the craziness that we call our life!
At the end of July/beginning of August we made one last trek to Greenville to gather the rest of our "junk". My mom, the kids & I made the journey a few days ahead of Darren & my dad so we could get things boxed up & in some sort of order (didn't really happen). We also managed to have some play time mixed with in with friends...I had a girls night out with some great friends, we played with our awesome neighbors, The Vega's, & of course we spent as much time possible with Lala & Smelbs!! It was a bittersweet time for sure! Our family began in Greenville & it was a very important 5 years of our lives. We learned much about ourselves individually, as a couple & as a family. We also learned what it meant to live away from family & close friends and how to allow other people to come into our lives & fill those spaces. Most importantly, though, we learned much about God, his will & his perfect timing! We are thankful for those 5 years, the friends who quickly became family to us, the memories made in the Delta & all God taught us through that part of our journey!

The inside of Grace's closet...we measured the kiddos here every 6 months.
Probably the thing I'll miss most from the house! :(
Grace in front of the bell given to St. James Day School by her Kindergarten class!
The whole fam!! :)
While we were in Greenville, I decided to throw Grace a surprise early birthday party for her 6th birthday! She has had a tough time leaving her friends & I figured the chance to celebrate one last time with them would be something she would always remember. She was so surprised & we were so thankful everyone helped us pull off such a fun morning for her! I know that helped her with this whole transition.
Grace made out like a bandit!
The time we were there went by too quickly & we miss our friends already, but we are very excited to begin our new journey here in the "Great State of Texas"!! (You know I couldn't resist!!) :)
