Each 6 weeks they select 2 students from each classroom in each grade who have shown outstanding character. Selections are based on social interactions in the classroom, at music, PE, & library. They have a Chick-fil-A breakfast with the principal in the cafeteria & are given a certificate, pencil, coupon for a free ice cream treat from Chick-fil-A & they take a picture with the principal & the Chick-fil-A cow!
We are SO proud of Grace!
Let me give you the low down on how her year has gone & you can see why we are so proud...
1st 6 weeks: Grace cried every morning before school (Getting used to a new school in a new town is ROUGH!!!)
2nd 6 weeks: Grace stopped crying, but her inner social butterfly came fluttering out! She got in "trouble" many days for talking.
3rd 6 weeks: Grace had to have a desk close to the teacher because of said talking in the previous 6 weeks! :( This was something she was NOT happy about.
4th 6 weeks: Grace got her talking under control & was selected as Character Counts!!
Woohoo!! Way to go Gracie Girl!!!
