Luke turns 3!!

Luke turned 3 a few weeks ago! It's hard to believe that he is 3 now...the same age Grace was when he joined our family! Wow!! He has really grown & changed over the last few months...becoming more of a preschooler than a toddler...makes me sad! It goes by SO quickly!

He is a HUGE Toy Story fan & since Toy Story 3 came out only a week after his big day it was only appropriate to have a Toy Story party! The day started off with some yummy donuts...his choice! We had a small party here with some of our family. His reaction to us singing to him was the best! He was so excited to blow out his "3" candle!! Afterwards we headed to Chuck E. Cheese for lunch (again Luke's choice!). He was such a big boy. He didn't fuss about having to eat before playing! One of the highlights for him was getting to see the "real" Chuck E. Cheese! He ran up to him & gave him a hug then told him, "Give me 5 dude!" After lunch we headed back home for more gifts. I decided to split up the gift opening so he wouldn't get overwhelmed. It was a smart decision! We played all afternoon & then headed off to McDonald's for supper (guess who's choice that was?!). It wasn't until we got back in the car to head home that he finally gave up & fell asleep! He slept for a couple of hours & then woke up ready to play some more!! Overall he had a fun day & got lot's of fun gifts!

He got to stretch out his birthday celebration to Father's Day weekend (sorry Darren) when we visited Darren's family. He got more fun Toy Story gifts again & even another cupcake with a "3" candle!
