I am a wife. I am an anti-mini van, carpooling in a slug bug mom. I am a lover of God. I am a dreamer of God-Sized Dreams. I am a little on the OCD side...okay, maybe a lot on the OCD side. I am a rule follower with a little rebel nature. I am a reality tv show lover. I am a kid at heart. I am an extrovert. I am a friend. I am me. I am just a girl, trying to make the most of the life God has called her to live.

The World According to Grace...Chapter 7

Grace was looking in the mirror one day. I noticed she was looking in it with her eyes closed. She told me, "Mom, it doesn't show when you close your eyes!" I guess she thought that since her eyes were closed it didn't show her in the mirror!

Darren was asking Grace who she liked better Mommy or Daddy. She looked at him & cleverly answered, "Um, Luke?!"

I found one of my old cassette tapes called Kid's Praise Album with Psalty the Songbook (oh yeah!). We were listening to the songs on it & the kids were dancing around the living room. One of the songs says, 'Heaven is a wonderful place...filled with glory & grace...' Grace thought it said '...filled with Lori & Grace...'! Her eyes got really big & she asked, "Mom, how do those people know us?" I explained to her what they were really saying & told her that she had a special name. She said, "Ooh, wow! I've got a special name!"

We were watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade one Thanksgiving morning. She was so excited to see all the balloons & floats. She was patiently waiting for Santa Claus at the end of the parade. When he finally came on the TV, she jumped up & said, "Oh my goodness! Santa, I'm here! I'm right here!"

We were eating lunch one day & Darren & I were eating Creamy Jalapeno (a spicy dip from our fav Mexican food restaurant called Chuy's). Grace kept wanting some so we put a little on the corner of a chip & gave it to her. We warned her that it was hot. She licked it a few times, barely touching her tongue to it. She said, "It's not hot." Then she took a big ol' lick & said, "Ooh, there it goes!"
