The World According to Grace...Chapter 8...

We were visiting Darren's parents & it was early one morning. Grace was sleeping in a crib next to our bed. She woke up & was standing at the side of the crib. All of the sudden we heard, "1, 2, 3, wake up Mommy Daddy!" (She never said Mommy AND Daddy...she just linked us together.) Needless to say, we were awake after that! (We have the Wiggles to thank for that!)

For Grace's 2nd birthday we had a little party with our family & friends back in Texas. We were getting the cake ready & Grace was sitting her in booster seat. Once she realized that she had our attention she threw her sippy cup off of her tray & put her hands on her cheeks & said, "Oh no! What did I do?"

-2 days shy of her 2nd birthday

One night Darren was in the middle of saying, "Boy, I tell you...", but before he could finish Grace finished for him & said, "what!"

I was in the rocking chair feeding Luke not long after he was born. Grace was sitting on her little fold out couch watching Handy Manny on Playhouse Disney. Out of the blue she turned to me & said, "Mommy, I love my little brutter!" Melted my heart for sure!

-1 month shy of her 3rd birthday

I was bathing Grace one night & she was closely looking at my eyes. She told me, "Mommy, you have a red string in your eye." She thought the blood vessels were red strings!
